A Message from the Owner, Kelli Hjelm
Trua Senior Living Locators of Greater Omaha and Lincoln is guided by heart, purpose, and a deep commitment to walking alongside families through one of life’s most meaningful decisions: finding the right senior living solution. At the forefront of this work is Kelli, whose passion for helping others has shaped every step of her professional journey.
With a degree in Education from Buena Vista University, Kelli has always been driven by a desire to see people thrive. That calling later led her into fitness coaching, where she supported individuals in improving their quality of life through personalized guidance, encouragement, and accountability. Today, she brings that same people-first approach to serving families – listening closely, advocating wholeheartedly, and offering clarity during what can feel like an overwhelming time.
Behind the scenes, Kelli is supported by her husband and co-owner, Simon, who brings a strong background in leadership and management. With an undergraduate degree from Iowa State University and an MBA from the University of Omaha, Simon provides strategic and operational insight that strengthens the care and consistency Trua delivers to every family.
Together, Kelli and Simon draw from firsthand experience navigating the emotional and practical challenges of choosing senior care services for someone they love. Having walked this journey themselves, they understand the stress and uncertainty families face. Their mission is simple but powerful: to ensure no family has to make these decisions alone and that every step is guided with compassion, empathy, and genuine care.
